Error when connecting Google Ads

What to do when you receive an error message when connecting your Google Ads account to Ampd.

Step 1: Confirm your email is an Admin on the Google Ads account and check to see if you have ad blockers enabled

To connect Ampd to Google Ads, the email you have connected must be an Admin on the desired Google Ad account.

If you have ad blockers enabled, it may be prohibiting you from connecting your Google Ads account to your Ampd account.

Turn off the ad blockers, refresh the page and attempt to connect the accounts again.

If this is not the case or this does not work, move on to step 2.

Step 2: Message Ampd customer support with your Google Ad ID

Reach out to Ampd via the in-app chat and send us your Google Ad ID and let us know you weren't able to make the connection to Google Ads.

Step 3: Ampd customer support will send a manual connection request

Once Ampd has received your Google Ad ID, Ampd will manually send a connection request from Ampd's parent company, info@metricstory, to the admin email associated with your Google Ad ID.

Step 4: Accept the request

Once you have received the request, accept it and then let Ampd know via the in-app chat that you have accepted the request.

Step 5: Ampd will make the connection

Once you have notified Ampd that you have accepted the request, then you are all set. Ampd's product team will make the connection and will message you when your account is ready!
