I completed my Ampd Management onboarding call, now what?

Everything you need to know regarding your Ampd Management plan.

After your onboarding call, Ampd data strategists will start working on your account and will take care of pretty much everything from here on forward with the Done For You service.

We offer this Ampd Management plan in order to give Amazon Brands access to world class Done For You Google Ads management at a flat, month to month fee. This plan does not come with ongoing live phone support, but if you would like monthly stand ups please inquire about our Ampd Enterprise plan.

We encourage you to review the deck used during onboarding that lays out the Ampd Management process, 3 month timeline to seeing results, and how to measure the full ROI of Google Ads.

Once the ASINs and budget have been approved, your data strategist will start the campaign Builds. Usually Builds are completed very quickly with a 1 week turnaround, however if there are more complex build requests then the build can take longer as its important to be done well, instead of fast.

Here are a few important things to keep in mind:

What is required from you, the brand?

  • Budget: We work with the approved budget and will often email budget recommendations, but we will not increase or decrease budget without your approval.

  • Pausing campaigns: Because the impact of Google Ads can be felt beyond just the direct ACOS we see inside of Ampd, your Data Strategist will not pause campaigns for you.

    • We have seen many examples where high ACOS campaigns still drive a significant ranking impact.

    • If you see a campaign running for more than 2 months at a higher ACOS than you are comfortable with, please review how that product is ranking and combine your Google Ads data with your TaCOS calculations to determine if you have seen the snowball / halo effect.

    • If you are not seeing a lift after 2-3 months, email your Data Strategist and ask if there is a path to improving the quality of traffic and lowering the ACOS.

Important info about your account

  • If you choose to stop spending on Google and want to close out your Ampd account or you want to move to a self serve plan, please send your request via email to your account manager.

  • Occasionally Google will pause campaigns and email the account owner to update your payment info, approve advertiser verification or other reasons

    • Ampd does not receive these emails, so please forward them to us and we can help you navigate this. .If you do not forward these emails to Ampd, we may not immediately see the campaigns be paused. This would cause lengthened downtime for your campaigns until we catch the issue ourselves.

  • We ask that you do not make changes to your campaigns without telling us as this could conflict with strategies Ampd is implementing for you. If you have any questions or ideas for your campaigns, just send your data strategist a quick email and they can collaborate with you!

    • A couple exceptions: Feel free to adjust budgets or pause a campaign due to inventory issues.

Where do you want to send your Google Traffic?

When we set up your campaigns, we send traffic to the listing page for the ASIN by default. However, we have the option to send traffic to your Amazon Storefront.

If you would like to take advantage of this, please review this article on building out Amazon storefront pages that are transactional and ready to receive Google traffic.

Here are a couple Amazon storefronts that are designed well to educate and sell the potential customer.
